SPSS Introduction
An introduction to the SPSS data analysis package. Topics covered include: creating and editing data sets, computing and recoding variables and an introduction to syntax.
SAS Introduction
An introduction to the SAS data analysis package. Topics covered include: creating and editing data sets, computing and recoding variables and an introduction to proc commands.
STATA Introduction
An introduction to the STATA data analysis package. Topics covered include: creating and editing data sets, computing and recoding variables and an introduction to basic commands.
MATLAB Introduction
MATLAB is a high-level technical computing language and interactive environment for algorithm development, data visualization, data analysis, and numeric computation. This introductory tutorial will touch upon managing code, files, and data and will show some simple design and problem solving.
Getting Started with HPC
If you work with extremely large data files or wait hours for your quantitative computations to complete, you may be interested in learning about NYU’s High Performance Computing (HPC) resources. Topics covered will include: acquiring accounts, available software, basic Linux, logging into the clusters, storing files, moving files, submitting jobs and monitoring jobs.
