The Center for Open Science<\/a> and NYU’s Data Services<\/a> are excited to announce the launch of OSF for Institutions at NYU<\/a>. The Center for Open Science is a\u00a0<\/span>non-profit<\/span> technology company that provides <\/span>free<\/span> and <\/span>open-source<\/span> services to increase inclusivity and transparency of research.<\/span><\/p>\n

Researchers who rely on the Open Science Framework (OSF) to manage their project workflows, build research transparency, encourage project visibility, and collaborate with other scholars are eligible to join an enhanced OSF for Institutions at New York University.<\/p>\n

Current users can now affiliate their OSF projects with NYU\u2019s institutional membership<\/a>, \u00a0joining the growing OSF community at the University while continuing to enjoy all the benefits and functionality of the framework.\u00a0Doing so will not require changing any of of your projects, public or private. \u00a0To affiliate your existing OSF account with NYU, you will need to:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Add your <\/span>NetID@nyu.edu<\/span> e-mail address to your profile as a primary or secondary e-mail if it isn’t one of your account e-mails currently. <\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Login via the <\/span>OSF Single Sign On link<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n
  3. Go to your public project, go to the the “Settings” tab and look for “Project Affiliation\/Branding” to list your project under NYU’s research page.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
